Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was conducted in Semester II of the 2024–2025 Academic Year at UPT SPF SD Inpres Hartaco Indah, Makassar. The aim of this research is to find out how role play influences vocabulary learning outcomes in class III. This research uses classroom action research with the Kemmis and Taggart cycle model. Planning, classroom action/implementation, observation, and reflection are the steps used to conduct classroom action research. Action monitoring instruments, evaluation questions, and field notes are test and non-test tools used to collect data. This tool is tested for reliability and validity through expert decisions. The results of this research show that students learn vocabulary better with the Role-Playing method. In cycle I, the percentage of learning outcomes reached 73.33% and 78.05%, respectively due to the percentage of learning effectiveness using the Role-Playing method which reached 64.29% and 87.14%, respectively. Thus, the results of this research indicate that students' vocabulary learning outcomes will improve if English learning using the Role-Playing method is applied.
